Professor of Derzhavin University Won the All-Russian Competition "Golden Names of Higher School"

The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Presidential Grants Foundation summed up the results of the All-Russian competition “Golden Names of Higher School”. The winners included Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Viktor Fedorov. Viktor Fedorov’s teaching experience is more than 50 years. Under his leadership, students defended 22 candidate dissertations, three doctoral theses and more than 100 diploma theses. Today, Viktor Fedorov heads the Scientific and Educational Center “Micromechanisms of Plasticity, Fracture and Related Phenomena” at the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Information Technologies of Derzhavin University. Professor Fedorov is the chairman of the commission for the retraining of teachers of specialized classes in physics, the chairman of the commission for organizing regional tours of the All-Russian Olympiads in astronomy and a member of the jury in physics.
