Rector Moiseev met with students of the Student Media Center (SMC). Representatives of the SMC reported about the results of their activities and development plans for this year, discussed with the rector the importance of work in the media space and the involvement of the student community in university-wide tasks.
- When the Student Media Center was just being created, it consisted of only a few enthusiasts. Today, the SMC is already a community of creative people. In the media, it is important to constantly exchange knowledge and skills with others. There are opportunities for this, and Derzhavin University will only expand them, - says Pavel Moiseev.
The students discussed with the rector the topics that are relevant to them, including rebranding the University, building a rental house and a clinical hospital, opening a creative cluster, using artificial intelligence in final qualifying works, etc.
– There are a lot of plans and ideas, we will gradually implement them. For example, a creative cluster will soon be launched at Derzhavin University. There will be a lot of space for studying, communicating, for new ideas and creativity in general. There will be more seats in the Educational Theater and for the first time – a small stage, – the rector shared. – There is a lot of work ahead, everything depends on us. The University is not just walls. The University is people: our students, graduates. There were a lot of interesting questions at the meeting, which I took into consideration.
On the same day, the opening of the Student Media Center studio with modern equipment and coworking took place. There, students will create content - record podcasts, shoot videos, edit.
- The new studio will help us launch any project in the media space at a high-quality, professional level, - noted head of the SMC Daniil Zobnin. - We, students, see how our rector supports us in any endeavors! It is very important that everyone can ask a question of interest or tell the rector about a problem directly. And this is very valuable.
