On the eve of International Students' Day, Rector Pavel Moiseev met with activists of the University Student Media Center. Students spoke about the success of the Centre during the first year of its operation and, together with the rector, discussed the development of the media center, new projects, etc.
“The idea of creation a Student Media Center at our University appeared a very long time ago. I would like to thank every member for the sparkling eyes, for the work, for the fact that you are becoming better and more experienced and your community is only growing. You have almost completed the first stage - the first year - and have shown quite significant results. It seems to me that you to develop in terms of quality, and in addition to the plans that you voiced, we also need to make plans for your additional training, so that professionals share their knowledge with you, so that you overcome the barrier of working with equipment, and acquiring new skills. It’s great that you are participating in the agenda of the Ministry of Education and Science, but you can also implement your own projects. I wish you to move forward, and the university is always ready to support you,” says rector Pavel Moiseev.
The Student Media Center of Derzhavin University was opened in December 2022. More than 40 students from different fields of study every day create unique and informal content on university and student topics. They also actively participate in all-Russian competitions and forums. This year they worked at the Summer School of Journalism in Tver, on a press tour in Kaliningrad, at the “Mind Games” forum in Krasnoyarsk, etc.
