Derzhavin University participates in a project aimed at popularization of the Russian language and Russian education in African countries, initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. From October 26 to November 7 and 15, representatives of educational organizations of the Republic of Uganda took advanced training courses in the program “Russian language and culture in the context of modern pedagogical technologies” in Tambov.
Guests were introduced to the theatrical and musical life of the city, went on excursions to memorable historical places in the Tambov region and beyond.
Rector of Derzhavin University, Pavel Moiseev, met with the delegation from Uganda. They discussed cooperation between the University and African educational organizations.
The parties also discussed the creation of centers for studying the Russian language and Russian culture in Uganda, cooperation in science and research areasat different levels, implementation of student exchange programs and special training programs for citizens of Uganda.
In total, more than 100 representatives of educational organizations from nine countries will visit different regions and universities of Russia over the course of several months to immerse themselves in Russian culture.
