Dear Students!
Today is Russian Student Day, which means it’s your day! I never tire of repeating: you are the strength and pride of the university, our Tambov region, and Russia! As the rector of Derzhavin University, I am very pleased to observe your achievements during your studies, learn about your career successes, and follow your sports victories! It’s great that many of you, even after many years, do not forget about your alma mater, thereby not only preserving the traditions of classical education on Tambov land, but also sometimes helping the professional development of the current generation.
I would like to wish students to make the most of the opportunities and advantages that exist in our country today. Believe me, today there are many more of them than in my student years. And it’s not just about new competencies that will be in demand in the professions of the future. You are the people of the new Russia. You can now create new meanings, new technologies, new fashion, new music, new art. Don't be afraid of mistakes, always look for opportunities to overcome them and reach the solutions you need. Learn from the best. And then you will certainly be a happy, successful generation.
Our university, like all of Russia, is open to the world. Very soon our country will become a point of attraction for young people from all over the world - the World Youth Festival will be held in Sochi. Our students will also take part in it. More than three thousand foreign students study at our university. They also became part of the large Russian student body, and I also congratulate the guys on today’s holiday.
My most sincere words of gratitude go to our faculty. I thank you for your high professionalism and the power of example. I wish you only enthusiastic and responsible students! In Russia, the coming 2024 has been declared the Year of the Family, and in Derzhavinsky it will also be held under the auspices of the Year of Sports. I wish all of us not to forget about strong feelings and our own health while acquiring professional knowledge. They certainly help us live a more fulfilling life and add new colors to it.
Dear students! Thanks to you, our great Russia has a bright and interesting present. I am sure that thanks to the knowledge gained at Derzhavinsky, you will create a bright and wonderful future for her, which will also be your personal future. Happy holiday, Happy Russian Students' Day!
