Today in Moscow at Russian State Agrarian University, the results of the project “University Shifts” in 2023 were summarized. Heads of leading Russian universities were invited. Derzhavin Tambov State University was presented by its Rector Pavel Moiseev.
The large-scale project "University Shifts" was initiated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the All-Russian Public and State Movement of Children and Youth "Time of the First". Its goal was to organize 10-day specialized (thematic) shifts aimed at forming Russian identity, conducting an additional general development program, as well as career guidance and building a career trajectory for children aged 14 to 17. During the shifts, school and college students got acquainted with educational programs, learned the history, traditions and modern infrastructure of the university, got a unique opportunity to join the atmosphere of the university, and see with their own eyes how student life goes.
According to public assessments by the project organizers and experts, following the results of the "University Shifts" the activities of Derzhavin University entered the top five best practices in Russia. Evidence of public recognition of the leadership of Derzhavin University students was the ceremonial awarding of the University rector Pavel Moiseev with a letter of gratitude from the President of the Russian Federation.
- University shifts are a great opportunity to demonstrate our educational and scientific opportunities to the children, but most importantly - to help them discover their own personal potential and facilitate their choice of future profession,” says Pavel Moiseev, Rector of Tambov State University. - I consider the high assessment of our activities during the project implementation an additional incentive for further work. We are proud that the participants of our shifts are guys from new regions and border territories of Russia. Today, our attention is important to them, they especially need to look confidently to the future.
