Rector Pavel Moiseev held a meeting with the delegation of the Central Board of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society (RCFS) within the framework of the "China Week in Tambov - 2024". The delegation included Galina Kulikova, First Deputy Chairman of the RCFS, senior researcher at the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Worker of Culture of the RSFSR and Vitaly Mankevich, President of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
– In 2023, the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society delegation headed by Kirill Barsky, the Deputy Chairman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary took part in the “China Week in Tambov – 2023”, – comments Pavel Moiseev. – The participation of a representative and authoritative delegation (Kirill Barsky, Sergey Sanakoev, Anna Donchenko), as we expected, gave a significant impetus to the development of the RCFS’s influence in the region, arousing the interest of the media and society. Tambov Sinology and various kinds of ties with China itself began to develop; mainly humanitarian ones. We hope that the current visit of a representative delegation of the RCFS Central Board will allow us to build on this success. The members of the delegation Galina Kulikova and Vitaly Mankevich are widely known in circles related to China, and will help us in various communications with this country. This is exactly what we talked about today. I have great hopes for the results of our meeting. Humanitarian and economic ties between the region and the university with China have good prospects.
