Rector of Derzhavin University, Pavel Moiseev, met with veterans of the national football team “Spartak” Dmitry Alenichev, Yegor Titov and Andrei Tikhonov. The prospects of their cooperation with Derzhavin University were discussed. It was agreed to hold a two-day seminar in December, where the football players will conduct master classes, meet with students and schoolchildren.
“The visit of sportmen of this level is a step in the development of sports in the region. Andrei Tikhonov is the best football player in Russia in 1996. Dmitry Alenichev is the best football player in Russia in 1997, as part of the Portuguese “Porto” he won the 2003 UEFA Cup and was the winner of the Champions League in 2004. He was the head coach of “Spartak” team in Moscow. Egor Titov is the best football player in Russia in 1998 and 2000. Imagine the benefits of their cooperation with the Tambov region,” says Pavel Moiseev.
