Rector Pavel Moiseev presented the new university brand to students and spoke about the future of the university
On the eve of Student Day, Rector Pavel Moiseev met with representatives of the student community, told them about the university’s development plans and presented the new university brand.
– I told the students about the university I would like to see, – comments Pavel Moiseev. – In order to have the potential for development, it is important to change the goal-setting, strategy, set of tasks already today. We need systemic, serious, useful, meaningful changes. The best ideas that make our everyday life – education, science, leisure – better should be implemented. The key actors of our activities – students, scientists, teachers – should have better opportunities. At the level of the general idea, I defined it for myself as follows: “A big change – for the better!” We must expand the boundaries of the usual model of a classical university and be a real educational ecosystem. To become, for example, more technologically advanced, which implies not only equipping with new equipment, new educational programs, but also a new connection with real life. An integral part of this strategy is the maximum reduction of the distance between a student and a potential employer. I talked to the students about the rebranding of the university, presented it. In my opinion, it reflects our common aspiration for the future: it is new and technological, it calls for serious changes. Our new brand is, if you like, a bridge to our better future.
