The final gala concert of the "Student Spring 2026" festival was held at Derzhavin University. Its program included the best concert performances from the university's academic departments.
The selection process took place from March 30 to April 4 in various creative categories: Vocal, Instrumental, Dance, Theater, Original Genre, Video, Fashion, Media, and Special Nomination. Students from each university department showcased their talents in competitive programs.
This year has been declared the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, so the concert united the creative groups with the idea of national friendship, mutual understanding, and brotherhood. The Derzhavin students sang their best songs and also presented choreographic numbers and theatrical productions.
In the vocal category, a first-place diploma in the "Contemporary Pop Vocal" category was awarded to second-year student Daria Drutskaya of the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries for her song "Rave." In the "Folk Vocal" category, first place went to fifth-year student Mariam Hakobyan of the Institute of Pedagogy for her performance of the Armenian folk song "Hanina." Third-year student Victoria Ivashina of the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries received a first-place diploma for her song "Slozhno" (Complicated).
In the instrumental category, in the "String Instruments" category, Alexander Oleynikov of the Institute of Pedagogy won the first place for his song "Krylatye Kacheli" (Winged Swing). Among keyboard performers, a second-place diploma was awarded to fourth-year student Sergey Pushkin of the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries for his song "Free Fall." In the "Mixed Ensembles (Small and Large Groups)" category, second-year students Leonid Osipov and Ulyana Tulinskaya from the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries received a second-place diploma for their performance of "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy." The SAPR group "Krechet" from the Institute of Law and National Security also placed second in the same category with their song "Venochek." First-year student Roman Kulakov from the Institute of Law and National Security won the "Electronic Music and DJing" category with his song "DJing DJ Bosta."
In the dance category, the "Matveyevna" team from Derzhavin University won the "Folk Dance" category. The group performed "Gypsy Dance." They also took first place in the "Street Dance" category. Among the pop dance performers, third-place diplomas were awarded to first-year students Marina Korotkova and Elizaveta Karelina from the Institute of Pedagogics. In the "Contemporary Dance" category, the best results were achieved by the "Café LatinoDance" group and students from the "Choreography" program at the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries. First- and second-year students from the Faculty of History, Political Science, and Philology, Tatyana Mileshkina, Maryana Strekalova, Polina Chemerkina, Alina Sebrenkova, Evgeniya Sukhinina, and Varvara Kulikova, won in the "Experimental Choreography" category. The "Vorozhey" group from the Institute of Law and National Security received a first-place diploma in the "Stylization of Folk Dance" category. Fourth-year students Alexandra and Dmitry Kirillov from the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries won in the "Ballroom Dance and Sports" category.
In the theater category, Mossedzedi Mohonga, first-year students of the Faculty of History, Political Science, and Philology, Calvin Dominique and Olesya Nagaeva, received a first-place diploma in the "Artistic Words" category for their work "Night-Counselor." Among the participants in the "Small Form Theaters" category, activists of the student council of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports took second place for their production of "Children's Alley of Farewell." In the "Author's Artistic Words" category, Anastasia Kostina, a third-year student of the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries, received a first-place diploma for her poem "The Fate of a Woman." Evgeny Shevlyakov, first-year student of the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries, won the "Monologue" category (accompanied by Yegor Ryazanov).
In the Original Genre category, in the Circus Arts category, first-year student Leyla Kovaleva, a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, was awarded a first-place diploma for rhythmic gymnastics. In the Pantomime category, second-, third-, and fourth-year students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Andrey Khakhin, Yulia Putilina, and Timofey Bobylev, took second place.
In the Fashion category, in the Conceptual Fashion and Fashion of Megacities category, students from the Faculty of History, Political Science, and Philology were awarded first-place diplomas for their fashion show, "New Age of Art." A group of students from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports shared first place with the previous team, with their performance, "Harmony of Feelings." First place in the Fashion with Ethnic Elements category went to the Millennium group from the Institute of Art.
