On the eve of Local Government Day, the Department of Constitutional and International Law of the Institute of Law and National Security of Derzhavin University, together with the Association "Council of Municipalities of the Tambov Region", held an inter-university business game on municipal law as part of the implementation of the projects "Learning through Service" and "Your Move".
Teams of students from higher educational institutions of the region took part in the game: Derzhavin University, TSTU, Tambov branches of RANEPA and RosNOU.
The game was held under the guidance of experienced experts. The jury included Nikolai Baibekov, head of the Public Chamber of the Tambov Region, Valentin Mironov, chairman of the Association "Council of Municipalities of the Tambov Region", Evgeny Burenin, chairman of the Council of Deputies of the Morshansk Municipal District, and Tatyana Chetyrina, head of the Tambov City Duma apparatus.
The business game included several rounds. The defense of initiative projects containing solutions to priority problems in a certain territory of the municipality was especially lively.
The team of the Institute of Law and National Security of Derzhavin University presented an initiative project "Organization of specialized zones for sports board games on the territory of the Olympic Park in the urban district-city of Tambov, Tambov Region."
– During the project defense, none of the teams were left without attention, each expert asked questions, expressed their opinion, – comments Daria Shevchenko, the 3rd year law student. – There was a unique opportunity to analyze practical situations on issues of local importance with an emphasis on problematic issues, and here, in real time, it was possible to receive comments and explanations from competent persons.
According to the results of the game, Derzhavin University team took 1st place. The Tambov branch of RANEPA took second place. Third place was shared between TSTU and the Tambov branch of RosNOU.
