Students of Derzhavin University became prize-winners of the X Eurasian Student Olympiad “Accounting Around Us.” Organizer of the Olympiad is the Department of Accounting, Audit and Statistics, Faculty of Economics, RUDN University. More than 500 participants and 89 teams from 67 leading universities of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Belarus took part in the Olympiad. Derzhavin university team was represented by 3rd year students of the Institute of Economics, Management and Service Anna Mukhina, Anna Lukina, Alina Deryabina and Yulia Bogatyreva. The team leader is Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Anna Myalkina. Participants went through two stages. First, students competed in individual competition. Within 80 minutes they answered 70 test questions and demonstrated knowledge in the field of accounting, taxation and auditing. 89 teams took part in the second stage of the Olympiad. They presented themselves and the results of their creative homework.
According to the results of the Olympiad, students of Derzhavin University received high praise from the jury and took second place in the team competition.
