The second International eSports festival “Battle for Science” starts in October. About 4 thousand people will participate in it. In 2021, team of Derzhavin University won the grand final of the festival in the Dota2 discipline. This year our e-sportsmen will once again fight for victory. “The ministry must create conditions and opportunities for students who want to get involved, test themselves and win in this direction,” says Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Petrova. – Nowadays, physical sports are emerging in universities and teams are being formed. We areall preparing for the “Future Games”, which will be held in Kazan very soon. All this is in a single frame. Of course, it is very important that all participants in this process - the Ministry, universities, game creators - are in the same spirit, achieving their goals. This year’s “Battle for Science” program will include eight types: League of Legends, Tanks Blitz, Valorant, PUBG, StandOff, Caliber, World of Tanks and Dota2. Derzhavinsky's e-sportsmen will perform in the Dota2 discipline. The final of the competition will take place at the Rossiya exhibition and forum in November.
“Russia is now a leading eSports power, such tournaments support the domestic scene and contribute to the emergence of new world stars,” says Pavel Gorbunov, captain of the DerzhaWin team. – The news about the second season immediately resonated with the players of our team. Our goal is to take first place again and prove that we are ready to fight for science.
