The Day of the Tambov Region was held at the international exhibition and forum “Russia”. Students of Derzhavin University took part in it together with the rector of the university Pavel Moiseev.
Key achievements and potential of the region were presented by the head of the Tambov region, Maxim Egorov. The head of the region noted that the main wealth of the region is the people who make a worthy contribution to ensuring the country’s food security and strengthening its technological sovereignty.
At the “Russia” exhibition, the rector of Derzhavin University Pavel Moiseev and the deputy of the Center for the Development of Teams and Projects “Creative Cluster” Alina Kugusheva signed an agreement on the creation of a volunteer movement in the region “Hospitality Volunteers” on the basis of Derzhavin University. This is an all-Russian volunteer movement, which is aimed at popularizing and preserving the cultural heritage of Russia, the traditions of hospitality, and the development of domestic and youth tourism.
On this day, the forum also hosted an extended meeting of the RAS Commission for the Study of Vernadsky’s Heritage. The Tambov region signed a cooperation agreement with MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Russian Society "Znanie", the joint-stock company "Rosagroleasing", "Sberbank", etc. A master class on preparing regional dishes was organized at the House of Russian Cuisine of the exhibition-forum "Russia". Guests were presented with the main gastronomic brands of the region: Tambov potatoes, Tambov ham, Michurin apples.
