The 3rd International School "Hold Knowledge" for students of comprehensive schools of the Republic of Abkhazia has been launched at Derzhavin University. The goals are to popularize Russian education among foreign students, as well as to form a single educational space and strengthen friendly relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia. Participants are children from the Bamborskaya Secondary School named after B.G. Tarba (Gudauta, Republic of Abkhazia) and the Agubedi Secondary School (Tkuarchal District, Republic of Abkhazia).
The program includes master classes, excursions, exposure Russian folk traditions and Russian culture. Participants will also learn about the admission requirements at Derzhavin University for the bachelor's degree and secondary vocational education programs. Particular attention will be paid to the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Schoolchildren will attend themed performances, lay flowers on the Derzhavin University Alley of Glory, and plant an alley in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory and Russian-Abkhaz friendship on the territory of the Rachmaninov Family Museum "Znamenskoye".
The opening of the School was attended by the Pavel Moiseev, rector of Derzhavin University, Vladislav Kulikov, head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Abkhazia, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Tambov Region, the Education Department of the Uvarovo City Administration, students of Derzhavin Lyceum of TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin.
"Derzhavin University is the center of public diplomacy in the Tambov Region and promotes the development of international cooperation between educational institutions of the Tambov Region and the Republic of Abkhazia," says Pavel Moiseyev, rector of Derzhavin University. "This year, the program of the International School "Hold knowledge" is really special. We are celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. This is our common history, which we must remember and honor.
During the opening, a meeting was held between representatives of the Bambor Secondary School named after B.G. Tarba (Gudauta, Republic of Abkhazia) and the Lyceum named after A.I. Danilov (Uvarovo, Tambov Region). Both schools became participants in the project on creation of School Diplomacy Clubs, organized by the All-Russian Public-State Movement of Children and Youth "Movement of the First".
The international school "Hold knowledge" was organized with the assistance of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Abkhazia. It was held for the first time in 2022 within the framework of a cooperation agreement between TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin and the Education Department of the Sukhum City Administration. The University regularly holds career guidance events in the Republic of Abkhazia. Today, 15 students from the Republic of Abkhazia are studying at Derzhavin University in various areas of training.
