The 6th All-Russian Pedagogical Marathon, "Inspiration for the Future: New Meanings and Strategies in Education," concluded at G.R. Derzhavin Tambov State University. It was organized by the Government of the Tambov Region, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Tambov Region, and Derzhavin University.
"This year, we rebooted the marathon's format: we shifted the focus from problem-solving to practical transformation, moving from debate to co-creation," said Nikolai Karev, Vice Rector for Strategic Development at Derzhavin University. "Over three days of intensive work, the organizers and participants not only identified challenges but also created working prototypes for solutions to the methodological and organizational problems of modern teachers, and discussed working prototypes of lessons adapted to the needs of Generation Alpha." Participants immersed themselves in eight thematic tracks, exploring modern teaching methods, effective forms of extracurricular activities, and current issues facing modern childhood with the participation of researchers and practitioners. For example, the "Digital Footprint vs. Educational Path" track explored the use of generative artificial intelligence, digital technologies in project-based activities, and AI tools for assessment and feedback.
For students majoring in pedagogy, Irina Naletova, Rector of the Tambov Regional Institute for Advanced Training of Education Workers, gave a lecture entitled "Mentoring: A Path to Professional and Personal Growth."
"This lecture was developed by the Znanie Society for Mentor Day. It aims to introduce students to the concept of mentoring, its history, and the biographies of great mentors and their students," said Professor Irina Naletova, Doctor of Philosophy. Participants learned about the institution of mentoring, discussed the changing role of mentors in modern society, answered questions about their mentors, and discussed whether they themselves would like to become mentors.
In the "Assembling Meanings: Modern Lesson Design" track, Natalia Say, a teacher at the Derzhavin Lyceum of Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin, held a master class for deputy school principals, chemistry teachers, and students majoring in pedagogical training. Participants mastered interactive techniques for all stages of the lesson, promoting the development of logical thinking, practical skills, and a deep understanding of chemical processes. The "Code of New Pedagogy" track included a tour of the pedagogical quantorium and a master class on artificial intelligence.
The marathon also included the All-Russian scientific and practical conference "Current Issues of Pedagogical Innovation and Instructional Design." At the conference, academic teachers, teachers of supplementary education, graduate students, and undergraduate students discussed the challenges of modernizing modern education and improving the professional skills of teaching staff.
The Pedagogical Marathon is a traditional platform for professional dialogue between the scientific and pedagogical community, leaders, and practicing teachers to discuss key trends, exchange innovative experiences, and find solutions to pressing problems in modern education.
