The 7th Youth Forum "Galdym – Territory of Art" is being held at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin. The event is held annually as part of a joint educational program between Derzhavin University and the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS).
The goal of the Forum is to support young talent, create conditions for their professional and creative growth, strengthen cultural ties, and develop creative initiatives among students. Traditionally, the Forum participants included students majoring in Acting at Derzhavin University and GITIS students.
The main part of the Forum is being held at the "Molodezhny" sports and recreation camp in Galdym. The Forum includes educational and creative events, master classes in stage speech, acting, and stage movement. The organizers place particular emphasis on working in small groups, allowing participants to exchange experiences and knowledge.
- Over the course of 10 days, young actors will immerse themselves in a rich program, culminating in a competitive screening of team works created during the forum, - notes Tatyana Kozhevnikova, Director of the Institute of Economics, Information Technology, and Creative Industries. - This year's productions are based on the works of the great Russian writer N.V. Gogol. His unique literary style, profound insight into the world, people, and phenomena, and his vivid sense of words made Nikolai Gogol one of Russia's most significant writers. Each new generation again and again recognizes the relevance of Gogol's works.
The final performance will take place on the stage of the Educational Theater of the University. Audiences will be able to see theatrical presentations, stage excerpts, and vocal and plastic movement performances prepared by students from the two theater schools.
The forum will be an important stage in the professional development of young actors and will strengthen the ties between the two leading Russian universities.
