The 9th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation, Tambov Legal Readings Named After F.N. Plevako, has concluded at Derzhavin University. The event was organized by Derzhavin University.
For two days, leading researchers and practicing lawyers from Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Penza, Saratov, and other Russian cities, as well as from neighboring countries – Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Serbia – gathered at various venues of Derzhavin University to discuss pressing issues in jurisprudence.
The opening ceremony featured welcoming speeches by distinguished guests, including: Alexey Galoganov, Vice President of the Federal Chamber of Advocates, President of the Bar Association of the Moscow Region, Doctor of Law, Professor, and Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation; Stepan Kalmykov, the great-great-grandson of Fyodor Plevako, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Vice President of RAS, Head of the Department of Radiochemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry, and Scientific Director of the Faculty of Chemistry at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Doctor of Chemical Sciences.
The plenary session brought together leading legal scholars who presented their research findings. The session was opened by Marina Baranova, Doctor of Law, Candidate of Cultural Studies, Professor at Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, and Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, with a public lecture on "Means and Techniques of Legal Drafting."

On the second day, a master class titled "Experience of the Military-Patriotic Club 'Poisk'" was conducted by Sergey Vorobyov, Doctor of Law, Professor (Academy of Law and Administration of the Federal Penitentiary Service, Ryazan). Participants explored a unique exhibition of archaeological artifacts from the Great Patriotic War. The conference also hosted the "Young Scholars’ Forum," which brought together over 50 student researchers from Russian universities and Belarus. Two sections—"Public Law" and "Private Law and Civil Procedure"—provided young researchers with a platform to present their work in person and online. Topics included historical and legal issues in the development of Russian statehood, theory and practice of state governance, regulation of property relations, current challenges in civil and arbitration proceedings, and national security matters.
The authors of the best papers, awarded first-place diplomas, were given the opportunity to publish their research in the journal "Current Issues of State and Law."
