The international project “Days of Universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan” has started at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin. Its goal is to form a single educational space for universities in Russia and Uzbekistan, continue academic exchange and popularize the scientific achievements of partner universities in both countries.
During the period of four weeks, eight joint events will be organized and held with the participation of nine partner organizations from the Republic of Uzbekistan, cooperation agreements will be signed with the Medical Institute of Karakalpakstan and the Andijan State Medical Institute, a new additional professional development program “Pedagogy and Psychology of Higher Education” will be launched jointly with the Regional Center for Retraining and Advanced Training of Teaching Staff of the Higher Education System at the Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov.
Events of the “Days of Universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan” project:
From April 21 to 28, Derzhavin Tambov State University will host the International Conference on the Development of Higher Education in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Derzhavin will host an international art plein air, in which students of the Department of Design and Fine Arts of Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin and the Uzbek-Finnish Pedagogical Institute (Republic of Uzbekistan) will take part. The project is carried out with the aim of training highly qualified specialists in creative areas of training, exchanging experience in the field of art education and improving the level of teaching skills in creative industries.
The works of students and teachers resulting from the plein air project will be the exhibited at a unique traveling exhibition. The opening of the exhibition will take place on April 27 at 16:00 in the exhibition space of Academic Building No. 4 at the address: Sovetskaya Street, 6.
From April 23 to 25, the International Derzhavin Olympiad in Russian will be held at the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service (Uzbekistan). The goal of the Olympiad is to create additional conditions for the support and development of the Russian language abroad, as well as increasing students' interest in studying it.
From May 23 to 25, the Second International Derzhavin Olympiad for students in the history of Russia and Uzbekistan, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, will be held at the Samarkand State University named after Sharof Rashidov (Uzbekistan). The Olympiad will help preserve the historical memory of the glorious pages of our common history, maintain interest in historical knowledge and encourage talented youth from around the world.
Based on the results of both Olympiads, the winners will be able to take part in the academic exchange program and study for one semester at TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin or continue their education in a master's program.
From April 24 to 25, career guidance work will be held as part of the 2025 admissions campaign in schools in Samarkand, where the areas of training and admission requirements at Derzhavin University will be presented.
On April 25-26, a student team from the Institute of Medicine and Health Preservation of Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin will take part in the I International Olympiad of Medical Students "Zarmed - 2025" (Uzbekistan).
On May 12-16, employees of medical universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan will undergo an advanced training course in the additional professional program "Optical Coherence Tomography of the Retina and Optic Nerve" (using distance learning technologies) at the branch of the Scientific and Technical Complex "Microsurgery of the Eye" named after Academician S.N. Fedorov.
At the end of May, a new additional professional advanced training program "Pedagogy and Psychology of Higher School" will be launched for teachers of the Uzbek-Finnish Pedagogical Institute and other universities of the friendly republic, and an internship for Zarmed University employees will be held at the Accreditation and Simulation Center of Derzhavin University.
