The X All-Russian Forum “Topical Issues in the Development of University Sports” was held in St. Petersburg, where the winners of the All-Russian project competition “History of University Sports” were awarded. In the category “Best operating museum of student sports (museum exhibition),” the Sports Museum of Derzhavin University entered the top 3. The curator of the Sports Museum, Anna Fokina, received the statuette. Six museums from universities in St. Petersburg, the Arkhangelsk region, Stavropol, Tomsk and Tambov competed for victory in this nomination. They went through three stages of the competition: submission of applications, expert assessment and selection of finalists. The history of the Derzhavin University Sports Museum began in 2012 with the collection of sports badges of Anatoly Sychev. Under the leadership of Anatoly Sychev, the museum has collected more than ten thousand exhibits: badges, cups, medals, certificates, tokens, souvenirs, etc. Derzhavin University was represented at the final by the curator of the Sports Museum, Anna Fokina.
