The engineering center “Chemical Technologies of Organic and Inorganic Synthesis” began to function at Derzhavin University. It works on the strategic project “New Chemical Materials and Technologies” within the program “Priority 2030”. The main tasks of the center are the development of pilot batches of experimental chemical synthesis products and training of personnel for chemical industry enterprises.
Students of Derzhavin University majoring in Chemistry will acquire required professional skills at the center. They will participate in laboratory classes and project activities within the disciplines “Organic synthesis”, “Chemical technology”, “Chemical technology of organic substances”.
Under the leadership of Alexey Abramov, director of the Center for Advanced Chemical Technologies, the engineering center hosted the first scientific seminar on the issue of improving the quality of manufactured products by introducing research developments into the technological process. The seminar examined the main stages of chemical production, as well as the influence of technological process parameters on the yield of the finished product and its quality.
