On World Youth Day, the head of the Tambov region Maxim Egorov and the rector of Derzhavin University, Pavel Moiseev, met with university students. At the trend session “Tambov on the General Map” students together with the guests created a road map of their favorite places in Tambov and the region. Among them: the embankment, the building of the Medical Institute, the Olympic Park, the Drama Theatre, the Art Gallery, the Museum of S.V. Rachmaninov in Ivanovka, etc.
Before the meeting students were given a walking tour “Historical Tambov”. This is the beginning of the project of the Youth House of the Tambov Region “Immersive excursions “City of Stories”. Each participant, through headphones, received an individual route and historical information about memorable places in the city: the monument to the Tambov peasant, the monument to Peter and Fevronia, the ensemble of the Kazan Monastery and the park named after Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya. The excursion was conducted on behalf of the governor of the Tambov province 1786–1788 Gavriil Romanovich Derzhavin.
