The Student Hockey League Regions' Cup was held in Tambov from September 26th to 28th at the Derzhavin Ice Hockey Club. Medals were awarded in the Chernozemye Zone.
Over these three days, the teams competing included: RSSU (Moscow), OrelSU (Orel), and the tournament hosts, HC Derzhava (Tambov). The tournament's prize distribution was as follows: Derzhava won bronze, OrelSU won silver, and the trophy, gold medals, and a berth in the Yurzinov Cup in Sirius went to RSSU.
Individual awards were also presented. The top scorer was Mark Makarov (OrelSU), the best defenseman was Andrei Zamuraev (RSSU), the best forward was Oleg Bogatov (RSSU), and the best goaltender was Artemy Egorov (Derzhava).
As part of the SHL Regional Cup, an educational seminar for students, coaches, players, and young professionals, "PRO Studhockey," was held. The seminar was attended by SHL Managing Director Anton Khramtsov, Rector of Derzhavin University Pavel Moiseev, and teams participating in the SHL Regional Cup (Chernozemye zone).At the meeting, League representatives discussed the upcoming season, Derzhavin University Rector shared his experience of League-University collaboration, and the participating teams had the opportunity to directly ask questions of interest to SHL management.
