Skating rink "Derzhavinsky" hosted the opening matches of the Student Hockey League championship - between Derzhavin hockey players and the team from Saransk "MGU-Talina". The participants were welcomed by the rector of Derzhavin University Pavel Moiseev, deputy director of the Department of State Youth Policy and Educational Activities of the Ministry of Education and Science Olga Negrova, Minister of Sports of the Tambov Region Pavel Gritskov and director of the sports club of Moscow State University. On the first day of play, Dmitry Zobkov's team won a crushing victory over the championship debutant - 10:2. In the re-match, MSU-Talina won with a minimal advantage - 3:4. The first points have been recorded in the standings, and now the Derzhavin team is preparing for the next meetings - on 11 November in Kaliningrad with the Hockey Club "Zapad Rossii".
