From April 19 to 24, the delegation of Derzhavin University, consisting of the dean of the faculty of philology and journalism Sergei Khudyakov, the head of the department of Russian language Tatyana Dyakova and associate professor of the department of Russian as a foreign language Zhanna Feyser, took part in the implementation of the international program “About Russia in Russian,” organized jointly with Representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Lebanon.
As part of this visit, members of the delegation took part in the sixth All-Lebanon conference of teachers of the Russian Foreign Language "Topical issues of teaching Russian as a foreign language." The subject of discussion was issues related to methods and techniques for teaching speech interaction in Russian, the principles of multimodality in teaching Russian as a foreign language, linguocultural aspects of working with Arabic-speaking children, and the practice of schools and centers in Lebanon in the field of teaching the Russian language. In addition, more than 20 teachers of the Russian language from educational institutions of the Republic of Lebanon underwent advanced training, organized by Derzhavin University, under the program “Modern pedagogical technologies in teaching Russian as a foreign language.” During the implementation of the program “About Russia in Russian,” Russian language lessons were held for high school students in Lebanese schools (Beirut, Ainab, Mashmoush, Baalbek, Batroun).
Classes were also held for students of Russian language courses. These classes were based on the principle of multimodality, which allowed students, with the help of audio, photo, video content, interactive tasks, and bright diagrams, to expand their understanding of the geographical diversity of Russia and talk about it in Russian.
