The Educational Project "Chief Doctor's School: Regions" has been launched in Derzhavin University. As part of this project, heads of medical organizations will be able to improve their qualifications at medical universities. For this purpose, the Russian Ministry of Health has identified 10 regions, including the Tambov Region.
– It is a great honor for our University to become one of the sites chosen to implement the “Chief Physician School: Regions” program. We will conduct advanced training for chief physicians of the Tambov Region at the Accreditation and Simulation Center. Today, we have 22 students. The educational program is quite extensive, it is designed for 144 academic hours. The main content of the classes is certainly dictated by new national projects and current healthcare trends, – comments Pavel Moiseev, Rector of Derzhavin University. – Since the chief physician is a leader, some of the classes will be devoted to management and organization of business activities. Our University will implement two modules of the courses, one module is federal. The training will be really tough.
The training at the school will be conducted according to a special educational program developed in accordance with the approved professional standard. The students will be offered courses of theoretical lectures and practical modules in medical organizations of the region. Key topics include medical examination of pregnant women, improvement of drug therapy management and pharmacovigilance, preparation of medical organizations for certification in quality control of medical care, and others. At the first lesson, "Practical issues of the activities of a physician-organizer of health care", the school's students were given trainings on team building and modern management models.
– The project “Chief Doctor School: Regions” is an opportunity to look at healthcare from a new angle, to reach a qualitatively new level. The idea of the project arose in the Ministry of Health of Russia, – says Professor Andrey Chernyshev, head of the Territorial Authority of Roszdravnadzor in the Tambov Region, PhD, head of the Department of Public Health and Healthcare at TSU named after G. R. Derzhavin. – The main task was to scale up the successful experience of the Central Research Institute for Healthcare Organization and Informatization of the Ministry of Health throughout the country and to train all current chief doctors and the reserve, which is about 50 thousand managers. The task is to ensure uniform knowledge and vision of everything that happens in healthcare. Derzhavin University was among the regions that were selected by the Ministry of Health. This is an opportunity not only to show our achievements and best practices, but also to exchange experiences with colleagues from other regions, to create a network interaction throughout the country.
The training will conclude on May 30 with a strategic session, at which participants will present their own projects for the development of regional healthcare.
The organizer and methodologist of the project is the Central Research Institute for the Organization and Informatization of Healthcare of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
