The regional round of the sixth season of the All-Russian student project "Your Move" was held at Derzhavin University. This project is part of the presidential platform "Russia – Land of Opportunities" and is implemented by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Participants included students from higher and secondary vocational educational institutions in the region.
"For the sixth consecutive season, Derzhavin University has hosted the regional round of the "Your Move" project," said Elena Agapitova, Director of the Youth Policy Department at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin. "This is a good tradition for us, confirmed by concrete results: nine of our students have already won, and the university itself is among the top 50 in the project rankings. Another valuable aspect is the peer-to-peer knowledge transfer: students learn from real-life cases and the success stories of their peers." By observing the young people's engagement, we see a growing willingness to take responsibility and contribute to the development of the university, region, and country.
Participants learned how to become part of a unified Russian student community and gain opportunities for educational and career development.
During the regional round, representatives of the "Your Move" project told students from the Tambov Region about the specifics and rules of participating in the main competition tracks of the sixth season: "I Do," "Your Move, Headman!", "I Inspire," "I Define," and "I Discover." Particular attention was given to the special projects "Your Move x Improvisation," "Your Move x Debate," and the flagship program "Live and Create in Russia," aimed at training student community leaders.
The students also learned about the new format of the "VosKhod" Winners' Club, the capabilities of the expert center, and the work of the career center, which helps students develop their individual professional trajectory while still studying.
"At the presentation, I was particularly interested in the 'I Do' track, as it's important for a historian not just to study the past but also to create real projects that change the present. I was very inspired by the examples of previous seasons' winners from our university: seeing Derzhavin’s students already achieve success is a powerful motivator," shared Yaroslav Voronoy, a first-year student in the Faculty of History, Political Science, and Philology at Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin. "For me, participating in the 'Your Move' project is a chance not only to realize my ideas but also to find like-minded people and gain experience that will be useful in my future profession."
This year's spring regional tour of the 'Your Move' project will cover dozens of regions and hundreds of educational institutions. Thousands of students from across the country will participate.
