On the canal of the Tsna River, in the area of Eldorado Beach, open sports tourism competitions “Derzhavinskaya Regatta” were held. Organizers: Derzhavin University and the Federation of Sports Tourism of the Tambov Region. More than 100 people from various municipalities of the Tambov region took part in the regatta. They competed in the following categories: male crews (student and faculty) and mixed crews (student and faculty). Sports competitions included slalom in two-person kayaks along a water course. A total of 43 crews took part in the competition.
“Derzhavinskaya regatta is being held for the sixth time. This is a traditional kayaking competition,” says the chief judge of the competition, Anna Goverdovskaya. – “Mostly teams from Derzhavin University participate in the competition, but over the past few years we have expanded the geography of participants. It is gratifying to see representatives of other educational institutions of the region and teams of tourist clubs among the kayaking athletes. A lot of strong teams competed today. The crews that showed the best time took part in the final. ”
A concert program and memorable gifts were prepared for all guests and participants of the Derzhavin Regatta.
