The university KVN team "V Passivnom Poisk" successfully performed at the 37th International KiViN-2026 Festival in Sochi and qualified for the First Television League of KVN. In addition to "V Passivnom Poisk," three other Derzhavin University teams also competed at KiViN-2026: "Vertikal," "Vikhr," and "Ne Skazal."
"For many years, Derzhavin University has been the center of development for the Club of the Funny and Inventive in the Tambov Region. We have a remarkable history of competing in the Club's Major League. The university team "V Passivnom Poisk" will now conquer the big stage of the First Television League," says Pavel Moiseev, Rector of Derzhavin University. "I'm doubly pleased that, thanks to the initiative of our regional governor, Evgeny Pervyshov, this stage is now located in Tambov. This means the kids will have the strongest possible support, and, as the KVN anthem says, there won't be an empty seat in the audience."
The main goal of the First League is to prepare teams for the KVN Major League on Channel One. The "In Passive Search" team is eagerly awaiting the start of the season, ready to delight viewers with their humor.
"Before our trip to Sochi, we changed our concept and added a new, interesting character. Our team is especially strong in that we successfully embody well-known characters by dressing up our members. Our ideas are relevant and relatable to every viewer," says Kristina Novikova, a representative of the "In Passive Search" team. "We thank Pavel Moiseev, Rector of Derzhavin University, and the trade union committee, represented by Sergey Forofontov and Vladimir Ryabykh, for their comprehensive support and faith in the team!" And thanks also to our first editor, Yaroslav Kuleshov, who taught us how to joke. We're incredibly happy to have made it to the First Television League.
