The XI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Journalism in the Age of Digital Transformations: Values and Practices” was held in Derzhavin University. Researchers analyzed trends in the development of mass communications in the conditions of the new media reality. Scientists from Russia, China, Iraq, and Belarus discussed forecasts for the development of journalism, advertising and public relations, and the problems of integrating values and practices in the media space.
The interest of the participants was aroused by the report of practitioners - employees of the newspaper “Our City Tambov” on the topic “Print press: in search of new meanings. How can a paper newspaper survive in the information world?” A lively discussion accompanied the reports of teachers, graduate students and students of universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Tambov, Penza, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Veliky Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Rostov-on-Don, Lipetsk, Yakutsk, Omsk, Yekaterinburg.
Chairman of the conference organizing committee, professor of the Department of Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations of Derzhavin University, Doctor of Philology Ekaterina Zvereva noted the diversity of the discussed topics.
