In Derzhavin University, at the site of the Tambov Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Education, a round table was held entitled “Trends and Challenges in Pedagogical Education: from Traditional Preparation to the Transformation of Educational Paradigms.”
Participants include heads of the regional Ministry of Education and Science, representatives of the administrations of secondary schools in Tambov and the region, scientists from Derzhavin University, representatives of the Tambov Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Education, and students.
The round table discussed issues of training teaching staff for the region's general education system, ways of attracting young people to teaching, and improving the quality of teaching.
The roundtable participants made presentations. Deputy Minister and Head of the Department of Professional Education and Science of the Tambov Region Elena Afonina spoke about regional needs for teaching staff. The digital contact pedagogy project "TsiKoPed" as a hybrid solution to reduce the shortage of teachers in remote schools in the region was presented by PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of Derzhavin University Andrey Kurin. PhD in Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of Derzhavin University Natalia Milyutina spoke about models of psychological and pedagogical classes.
An innovative model for training foreign language teachers based on artificial intelligence technologies was presented by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Pavel Sysoev and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Maxim Evstigneev (Tambov Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Education).
– It is necessary to reconsider the problems and proposed solutions discussed at the round table, both by the leadership of the regional ministry and by each individual teacher, – noted the head of the Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Pavel Sysoev. – I am confident that we will continue to work with the teaching staff of secondary comprehensive schools in the region to implement innovative pedagogical projects aimed at creating conditions for students to receive high-quality and competitive education.
