A 5th year student of TSU Medical Institute, Ihab Gerrar, will represent Russia at the XXVIII conference of the isokinetic medical group in London. The theme of the conference is “Football medicine meets the universe of sports.”
Ihab Gerrar has been passing an online training for 6 month. It was conducted by the international association of football federations. The program managers were specialists from FIFA. The training included more than 40 modules in sports medicine. After that, the young man received an invitation to participate in an international conference in London with his report. The topic is "Bridge-enhanced anterior cruciate ligament repair".
- In my report, I describe the case of an English football player who was injured in the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee. I spoke with his doctor and suggested a new treatment, - says Ihab Gerrar. - My method reduces the recovery period of an athlete from 12 to 4-5 months.
Ihab Gerrar is the only representative of Russia at the XXVIII conference of the isokinetic medical group. With his report, a TSU student will perform in London at Wembley Stadium on April, 28. Within the framework of the conference, Ihab Gerrar will also undergo a three-day training with leading specialists from various fields of sports medicine.
