The university KVN team "V Passivnom Poiske" ("In Passive Search") delivered a successful performance in the semifinals of the KVN First Television League, securing a spot in the finals.
The Derzhavin University team competed against their rivals across four rounds: the opening greeting, a Q&A session with the jury, a "Difficult Situation" sketch, and a musical "homework" (prepared performance) segment. By the end of the match, "V Passivnom Poiske" had earned 90 points—just 3 points behind the team "Ne Sut" ("Not the Point") from the Kuban State Agrarian University.
"Our team has been around for five years, and we’ve been moving forward the entire time. We’re definitely in a fighting spirit now: we’ll do everything we can to delight the audience and achieve the best possible results," says Anastasia Bakulina, captain of "V Passivnom Poiske." "We’re preparing for the finals, writing new jokes, and also getting ready for the festival in Sochi."
The primary goal of the KVN First League is to prepare teams for the KVN Major League. This means that the students from the G.R. Derzhavin Tambov State University are now one step closer to the dream shared by every KVN participant: to appear on Channel One.
