For the first time this year, the university is launching the Derzhavin Christmas Trees campaign. The goal of the campaign is to give joy and a sense of New Year's magic to children who find themselves in a difficult life situation. Students, employees and the faculty of the university will make dreams come true for children from boarding schools and family support and child assistance centers in the Tambov Region. There will be Christmas trees with children's wishes in all the buildings of the educational departments, where everyone will be able to make the children's New Year's dream come true.
At the opening of the main New Year tree of the university, Rector Pavel Moiseev held a draw of lots for social institutions of the region among the university's educational departments. Each department of the university was assigned eight boarding schools and centers for family support and assistance to children.
– New Year is a time of miracles and wishes coming true. Each of us can give joy and a sense of New Year's magic to everyone who finds themselves in a difficult life situation. This year, Derzhavin University students and staff will become good wizards and will fulfill the dreams of more than 300 children, half of them being children with disabilities who especially need care and support. By making someone's cherished dream come true, we ourselves, without noticing, become closer and dearer to each other, – comments Rector Pavel Moiseev.
On the eve of the New Year, Derzhavin University students and faculty will go to the children with gifts and a New Year's program.
