A university-wide graduation ceremony was held at Derzhavin University. Graduates from all institutes and faculties, teachers and honorary guests gathered at the site near the TSU academic building at 6 Sovetskaya Street.
– Today, for the first time, we are holding a joint graduation ceremony for Russian and international students. This was our deliberate decision, which we have been working towards for a long time. Why? Because our University positions itself as an internationally oriented university of public diplomacy. We believe that it is important for the university environment to be intercultural. This allows Russian students to feel like part of a global community and meet students from 62 different countries. For foreign students, this is also an excellent opportunity for full socialization. Among them, there are almost 350 future doctors who will soon return to their countries and practice medicine. We strive to ensure that our education is modern and of high quality. I hope that the knowledge and values that Derzhavin University provides will help young specialists benefit their countries, – comments Rector Pavel Moiseev.
This year, more than 3,300 young specialists graduated from the University, with 758 graduates being awarded a diploma with distinction. The festive evening began with honoring the best students of 2025, who entered the top 50 of the Derzhavin University rating.
In the nomination "Best personal rating", the winners were Polina Stelmachenko, a graduate student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, and Anton Baranov, a graduate student of the Institute of Creative Industries, Economics and Entrepreneurship.
The best first-year students were Artem Bosachenko and Nikita Tryakin, Institute of New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence.
The best graduates were Alina Matveeva, a graduate student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, and Nikita Rodin, a graduate student of the Faculty of Health Preservation, Rehabilitation and Active Longevity.
In the nomination "Best personal rating for academic activities", Alina Pluzhnikova, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Health Preservation, Rehabilitation and Active Longevity, and Irina Kuvshinnikova, a 3rd-year student of the Institute of Law and National Security received their awards.
The best in research activities were Angelina Zorina, a 5th-year student of the Institute of Creative Industries, Economics and Entrepreneurship, and Farida Aydemirova, a 4th-year student of the Institute of New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence.
In the nomination "Best personal rating for social activities", Anastasia Zhalnina, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Health Preservation, Rehabilitation and Active Longevity received their awards.
The best personal rating for sports activities was awarded to Roman Nechaev, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Health Preservation, Rehabilitation and Active Longevity, and Andrey Makarov, a 1st-year master's student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. The award in the nomination "Best Personal Rating in Cultural and Creative Activity" was received by Daria Shipilova, a 4th-year student of the Institute of New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence.
- It was important for me to get into the University rating and become a winner in the nomination "Best Graduate", because the rector personally congratulated me, - says Nikita Rodin, a graduate of the Faculty of Health Preservation, Rehabilitation and Active Longevity of Derzhavin University. - My success in professional sports contributed to achieving such results. I am a Master of Sports of International Class, I practice taekwondo. It was this sport that determined the direction of training and the University upon admission. Derzhavin University is the best higher education institution in the region. Here I was able to combine sports and studies.
A bright and memorable evening was organized for graduates. A cover band from Lipetsk and a DJ presented hits of recent decades in a live performance, and the top bartenders of the city demonstrated their skills in preparing special cocktails for guests. There was also a drawing of valuable gifts from the University and partners.
