Vladislav Prokushev, an instructor at the "Derzhavinsky" Tourism Club and a media ambassador for the "Student Tourism" (Studturizm) program, took part in the International Student Tourism School. The event was hosted by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty. It brought together 40 participants, including students from eight Russian universities and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, as well as representatives from youth organizations and student self-governance activists.
The School’s program featured both educational sessions and excursions. Participants visited the Main Botanical Garden and the Central State Museum of Kazakhstan, and hiked up Kok-Tobe Hill and Furmanov Peak.
By the end of the program, the participants presented a collaborative startup idea focused on student travel. The initiative is designed to foster international youth cooperation and build lasting ties between universities in Russia and Kazakhstan.
"These six days were packed with intensive study, teamwork, and exploring the city. I attended lectures and workshops, brainstormed ideas with like-minded peers, and developed tourism products," said Vladislav Prokushev, an instructor at the "Derzhavinsky" Tourism Club. "Our team explored Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, urban and mountain areas, cultural landmarks, and modern IT hubs. I discovered a new side of Almaty, and the School provided a clear vision of how youth tourism can evolve."
