The central event of the University delegation's stay in Minsk on Tuesday was a meeting with the top administration of the Belorussian State University. Pavel Moiseev discussed promising areas of cooperation with the rector of the Republic's main university Andrei Korol.
BSU became the largest platform where the leading areas of scientific activity of our university were presented to Belorussian researchers, professors and students. In addition to lectures and round tables on jurisprudence, demography, philology, journalism, pedagogy and IT, which were held by Derzhavin University professors on Monday, on the second day of the visit, history and international relations (Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Vladimir Romanov), statistics (Doctor of Economics, Professor Natalia Cheremisina) and materials technology (Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Alexander Dmitrievsky) were added.
– Cooperation and partnership with Belarus for many years to come is a strategic vector of Russian policy. I consider the development of relations between TSU and BSU, the largest university in the Republic of Belarus, as a natural direction for our international activities. The first initiatives are joint research on historical demography and a media forum for volunteers. But the space for mutually beneficial cooperation is huge, – noted Rector Pavel Moiseev.
The TSU delegation also visited the BSU Museum of Geosciences – the only natural science university museum of geological profile in the republic, which serves as an educational, scientific, methodological and consulting center.
