The hostels are within walking distance to shops, shopping centers and medical facilities
Living conditions
All foreign students are provided with a place in one of the modern comfortable hostels. Furnished rooms are designed for 2-3 people. On each floor there are specially equipped kitchens. In each hostel there is a laundry room, a psychological support room and a study room.
Scrupulous attention is paid to safety and security. Order and security are provided by private security firm. External and internal observation cameras are installed.
Students who wish to live outside the campus can rent affordable housing in Tambov.

Residents are obliged to:
Submit documents for registration to the Department of International Relations and Migration Registration in accordance with the established procedure and terms;
fully comply with the rules of internal regulations, public security, fire prevention and safety standards when using electric and gas appliances;
take good care of hostel premises, equipment and property; economize on utilization of water, electricity and gas; keep the room clean and tidy;clean up food waste and wash the dishes when cooking in a common kitchen;

pay for accommodation in the hostel in due time;
-
provide the hostel manager with spare room keys which should be kept there in case of emergency;
-
compensate caused material damage voluntarily within10calendar days;
-
not to install additional electrical appliances and radio equipment in rooms without the permission of the hostel administration;
-
leave bulky and valuable personal belongings which are not subject to daily use in the luggage room;
-
inform the hostel administration about your departure on vacation or your wish to leave the hostel two days in advance;
-
leave personal belongings in the luggage room when going on holiday;
-
turn off the lights, close the windows and doors when you leave your room; leave your room keys at the hostel reception;
-
hand over the bedding, equipment and your hostel pass to the administration when moving out of the hostel;
-
show the hostel pass when entering the hostel;
-
allow the university and the hostel administration to inspect your room with the purpose of checking the safety of the property, carrying out preventive and other types of work.
Residents of the hostel are prohibited to:
-
hand over a hostel pass to unauthorized people;
-
let unauthorized people stay overnight without permission of the administration;
-
provide living space for living to other people, including those living in other rooms of the hostel;
-
change a room within the same hostel or transfer to another hostel without permission of the administration;
-
use heating appliances (including self-made ones) electric kettles, microwave ovens, kerosene/primus/electric stoves in hostel rooms;
-
after 22:00, make noise, use sound reproducing equipment with the volume of sound so high that it goes beyond the room;
-
appear in the hostel in a state of intoxication, drink alcohol, keep, distribute and use narcotic and psychotropic substances, and gamble;
-
insult hostel staff and hostel residents;
-
smoke in rooms and corridors of the hostel.

Policy Statement
This policy has been developed for implementation at the Derzhavin Tambov State University (hereinafter referred to as the University).
The University’s policy on smoking is designed to secure a healthy and safe environment for students and staff as well as eliminating passive smoking from its premises in keeping with the Laws of the Russian Federation. This is in the context that medical evidence continues to reinforce the link between the in halation of tobacco smoke, and particularly the associated toxins and carcinogens, either directly or by passive smoking, and serious illness.
Scope& Purpose
In order to promote the health and safety of both students and staff, the University will endeavour to ensure that its premises are free from tobacco smoke. The smoking of tobacco is not permitted in University buildings or in University vehicles. The Policy also applies to the vapour from electronic cigarettes. The use of electronic cigarettes is prohibited wherever smoking is prohibited. The policy applies to all University staff and students, as well as to visitors, contractors, and sub-contractors while on University premises.
Principles
It is the University's policy not to intrude on the privacy of individuals, particularly in health matters, where their conduct or performance at work is not affected. Nor is it intended to discriminate against smokers in recruitment and admissions arrangements. The University will support individuals who wish to give up the habit of smoking. However, violations of the policy may be considered under the University's Disciplinary Policy.
Benefits
The benefits of operating this policy include reduced health and safety, including fire, risks, decreasing absence levels, and an improvement of the view taken of the University as a responsible employer, in addition to compliance with legislation.
Definition of Premises
This Policy applies to all buildings owned by or leased to the University and occupied by employees, students, or other persons, as well as University vehicles. At the discretion of local management, smoking is permitted in other grounds owned by the University, provided that smokers do not obstruct access to or exit from the premises.
Procedure and Responsibility
Students and staff are expected to take personal responsibility for observing this policy and should feel able to draw this policy to the attention of colleagues, and of visitors to the University. Managers should be aware of the need to remind anyone found smoking on University premises of this policy. Individuals who wish to smoke should be asked to leave University buildings.
